EuroTowns

Mission: To develop a network of vibrant, socially inclusive, and sustainable medium-sized European cities, acting as a catalyst for urban innovation, creativity, and renewal.
Working groups: Task Team Mobility, Innovation Team, Cultural Project, Social Sustainability and Inclusion, Strengthening Policy Influencing, Attractiveness, Culture, Tourism and Sustainability, Sustainable Industry, Lifelong Learning, Knowledge Economy.
Dutch members: Schiedam and Haarlem.
Membership open to: Cities and municipalities/regions with between 50,000 and 250,000 inhabitants.

ALDA – European Association for local democracy

Mission: To promote good governance and citizen participation at the local level throughout Europe in areas such as European integration, decentralisation, human rights, social inclusion, sustainable development, and civic initiatives.
Dutch members: Fairtrade Gemeente.
Membership open to: Municipalities and organisations.

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)

Mission: The largest support network for SMEs with international ambitions. It provides organisations with practical information and advice on innovation and internationalisation.
Themes: Single Market (internationalisation within the EU), Internationalisation (beyond the EU), Innovation, Digitalisation, Sustainability, Resilience, Scale-ups, Capacity Building (for SMEs).

Dutch members: 12 partner organisations that entrepreneurs can contact with their questions.
Membership open to: Entrepreneurs, research institutes, universities, and technology centres.

AIVP – Worldwide Network of Port Cities

Mission: To improve the relationship between cities and ports through mutual cooperation, fostering more sustainable, responsible, and innovative urban, port, and economic development that places citizens at the centre.
Working groups: The AIVP & MedCruise Working Group, and the Port Center Network (PCN) Group.
Dutch members: Port of Rotterdam.
Membership open to: Port cities.

WHO European Healthy Cities Network

Mission: To keep health high on the political and social agenda of cities and build a strong public health movement at local level. The approach emphasises equity, participatory governance and solidarity, intersectoral collaboration, and action addressing the determinants of health.
Dutch members: Not known.
Membership open to: Cities.

Mission: To provide a common voice for, and therefore coordinated action on behalf of, European startups and scale-ups.
Membership open to: Regional authorities, universities, research organisations, chambers of commerce, and clusters to exchange best practices.
