Mission: An international network of cities and regions working together to promote sustainable resource management and accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
Working groups: Built Environment, Sustainable Food Systems, Circular Lifestyles, Policy and Governance, Waste and Material Flows.
Dutch members: Arnhem-Nijmegen Region, Cleantech Region, Amsterdam Metropolitan Region, Province of Friesland, The Hague, Rijkswaterstaat.
Membership open to: Local, regional, or national public authorities, as well as non-governmental organisations.

Mission: ICLEI operates at local and global levels, shaping policy and driving action to transform urban environments worldwide.

Membership open to: Municipalities and cities worldwide.

Greenovate! Europe

Mission: A network of organisations supporting sustainable innovation.
Working groups: Energy & Mobility, Food & Bioeconomy, Industry & Circular.
Dutch members: ACRRES.
Membership open to: Research centres, industrial clusters, innovation consultants, and communication and engagement agencies.

Climate Action Network (CAN)

Mission: Europe’s NGO coalition in the fight against dangerous climate change. CAN is a network in which environmental and development organisations collaborate to conduct advocacy campaigns and maximise their impact.
Working groups: Climate Action, Energy Transition, Western Balkans & Turkey, Financing the Transition, Socially Just Transition, Global Transition.
Dutch members: Stop Ecocide NL, Simavi, TAPP Coalition, Recourse, WISE, Natuur & Milieu, Milieudefensie, HIVOS, Both ENDS.
Membership open to: Non-governmental or community-based non-profit organisations in Europe engaged in promoting sustainable development and active in the field of climate change.

Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC)

Mission: Focused on strengthening the bio-based industry in Europe. BIC’s members span the entire value chain, from primary production to the market.
Working groups: Associate Members Working Group, Programming Working Group (PWG), Public Affairs Working Groups, Communications Network.

Dutch members: AlgaNed, Avantium, Biosintrum, Be-Basic Foundation, Braskem, Cellicon, Chaincraft, Coslen, Corbion, Royal Cosun, Diversy, Dutch Biorefinery Cluster, Helianpolymers, Holland Circular Hotspot, Catalysis, Kiverdi, Kraton, Mevaldi, NPSP, Paperfoam, Paques Biomaterials, Plantics, Process Design Centre, Recell, Seawood Materials, Suspacc, Torwash, Vivici, Zer0-E Engineering.

Membership open to: Multiple and diverse sectors, such as agriculture and agri-food, aquaculture and the maritime sector, chemicals and materials (including bioplastics), forestry, pulp and paper, technology providers, and waste management and processing. BIC also includes associate members such as research organisations, academic institutions, and industry associations.
