Mission: To showcase concrete alternatives implemented by cities, advocate for changes in political and economic governance at all levels, and encourage a broad cultural shift towards a future-proof society.
Working groups: Local Governance, Fossil-Free Cities, Community Energy, Future-Proof Food Systems, Fair Economy.
Dutch members: Arnhem, Delft, Utrecht, Heerlen, Zoetermeer.
Membership open to: Local or regional authorities, inter-municipal structures or groups of municipalities, local energy management bodies, municipal enterprises, and regional or national associations of municipalities.

Convenant of Mayors – Europe

Mission: Committed to implementing the EU’s climate and energy objectives.
Objectives: Reducing GHG emissions by 55% by 2030, strengthening resilience, and alleviating energy poverty.
Dutch members: Alkmaar, Almere, Amsterdam, Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Assen, Bergen, Breda, Castricum, Culemborg, Delft, Eindhoven, Enschede, Geldermalsen, Municipality of Lingewaal, Groningen, Haarlem, Heerhugowaard, Heerlen, Heiloo, Helmond, Langedijk, Lingewaard, Midden-Delfland, Neerijnen, Nijmegen, Overbetuwe, Rotterdam, Schiedam, ’s-Hertogenbosch, The Hague, Tilburg, Uitgeest, Utrecht, Winterswijk, Zoetermeer.

GCoM (Global Covenant of Mayors) for Climate and Energy
