What is a European knowledge network?
There are various European cooperation networks. These networks consist of partnerships between different European organisations. Organisations may have several reasons to join a network. A network can be very useful for expanding your connections, gaining new knowledge, and ultimately securing funding.
As a municipality, you stand stronger in Europe when you are part of an organised partnership, regardless of the size of your city; this applies to both large and small municipalities. Membership can take place individually or at a regional level. The cooperation may focus on a wide range of policy areas, but also on general knowledge exchange or advocacy. Both administrators and civil servants can become members.

Support from EuropaPact Fryslân
EuropaPact Fryslân has identified, during a masterclass on European Knowledge Networks, which networks may be of interest to Frisian partners. This resulted in six themes, which are described below. For each network, a brief overview is provided of its mission, members, and any working groups.
EPF offers a voucher for participation in European networks. There are two options: establishing and maintaining a European network, or joining an existing European network with financial support from EPF for a maximum period of two years.
